B-Strong & Pink Out – A Breast Cancer Awareness Signature Event

Come out and join us for an evening of hope, inspiration, celebration, food, laughs, and fun for a great cause. The proceeds of the evening will go towards our PWNC Transition program, helping those women who want to start a full-time business in their communities and who want to give back by employing those who live in these areas.

Every year PWNC Foundation, Inc holds its annual Breast Cancer Awareness Event, we are excited about where the event will be hosted this year, the beautiful Independence Live right on Market Street. What better way to toast and celebrate those who have overcome breast cancer and were able to come out of it even better and stronger to share their inspiring stories.

Our event will be catered by a local caterer, CateringatHeart LLC, Chef Thomas was born and raised right here in North Philadelphia. His love for food came at a very young age; which allowed him to work in different restaurants where he acquired a unique set of skills. Thomas has been cooking for over 20 years; he provides a combination of American and Caribbean flavors that are intertwined to create “Dominican Soul Food”. He believes that healing starts from within; by preparing delicious healthy meals with love using fresh organic ingredients can bring joy and heal the soul. Their motto states; “Healing is power, and starts by what goes in or out of our mouths; so let’s Eat and Speak wellness.”

Chef Thomas is also a victim of this terrible disease when his mother lost her battle with breast cancer a few years ago. We heard the story and knew right away that he should be a part of what we are doing.
